Heineken, the world’s leading premium beer brand, announces the latest phase in its global approach to encourage responsible consumption with the launch of its new ‘Sunrise Belongs to Moderate Drinkers’ campaign.
As part of this campaign, a new TV from Heineken will air on Thursday 20 December 2012 through to Sunday 13 January 2013 in a ‘high impact’ schedule over TV ONE, TV3, Prime and Sky TV channels.
In the advert the lead actor takes advantage of all the party’s opportunities in a responsible manner, by drinking water, and ends his night by enjoying a spectacular sunrise with the star DJ Audrey Napoleon.
The TVC has been titled ‘Sunrise Belongs to Moderate Drinkers, and is a 30sec, big-budget, fast-paced, and trendy advert which features a nightclub scene with partying and dancing.
Anna Lawrence, Heineken New Zealand’s Marketing Manager, says that this is the perfect time of year to air the ‘Sunrise Belongs to Moderate Drinkers’ TVC as Kiwi consumers head into the busy Christmas and New Year party season.
“The commercial also reinforces Heineken’s international ‘Enjoy Responsibly’ message which we always look to convey but particularly at this social time of year. We have chosen a prominent advertising schedule over the four weeks it is on air, to ensure the messaging is kept top-of-mind and is really taken on board by consumers. This is just one part of Heineken’s commitment to encouraging social responsibility around the enjoyment of its products.”
The current commercial comes hot on heels of another high profile Heineken TVC, the James Bond ‘Skyfall’ movie inspired ‘The Express’ TVC, which won Colmar Brunton’s Ad Impact Award for October.
“Heineken commercials are well known for having a lot of impact on viewers and I hope that the ‘Sunrise Belongs to Moderate Drinkers’ will be especially effective,” adds Anna Lawrence.
The TVC was created by W+K in Amsterdam, filmed in London, and features music from international DJ Audrey Napoleon titled ‘MySunrise’.
A supporting social media campaign has also been launched, encouraging people to visit www.heineken.com\nz for the chance to win a Fiji FinePix X100 digital camera.
